Building Better Boards Roundtable
Join us for this Webinar on November 19, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM EST
Board members are vital partners for keeping performing arts institutions flourishing – in good times and in tough times. We invite you and members of your board to join us for our next national call-in on: Building Better Boards. The discussion will focus on ways in which executive staff and board members can work together to identify and respond effectively to the opportunities and challenges as we look forward to a new decade in the presenting field. We invite participants from the field to share your success stories about the contributions – both tangible and intangible – of board members to your organization.
Please note: This roundtable is limited to 10 participants, all of whom have a reporting relationship to his or her board.

Arts Presenters Issues Statement Regarding Health Care Reform
"As Congress moves towards securing health care reform, we hope this critical debate includes affordable access to health coverage for the arts community, which represents artists, small businesses and nonprofit organizations. A public program should truly be affordable and be inclusive of every segment of our industry and it is important that such a program prohibits denial of coverage or increased rates for pre-existing conditions. Artists especially have gone too long without access to health care coverage. A public program that does not lend itself to affordability does not address the basic tenets of health care reform."
– Sandra Gibson, President and CEO, Arts Presenters
