In 2002, Arts Presenters Board of Directors, members and staff adopted a new mission and set of strategic goals which promotes and advances the relationship between artists and audiences on behalf of all those who create, present and manage the performing arts. To sustain these goals, Arts Presenters must identify new sources of contributed support from members and the larger community.

Just under 70% of Arts Presenters annual operating budget is earned through revenue from membership dues, Conference fees and advertising in the Inside Arts magazine. The remaining 30% is comprised of general contributions from individuals; Conference sponsorships from member organizations; program funding from major corporations and foundations; and grants from the NEA. Each year, the gap between earned revenue and contributed revenue grows while operating support from foundation grants decline.

With a lead gift and challenge by Arts Presenters Board member, Pam Green, over $3,500 was raised in funds to assist our colleagues in the Gulf region with membership, registration, travel and lodging for the 49th Annual Members Conference in January which enabled several members to rejoin and attend. Arts Presenters is grateful to the members who made personal contributions and acknowledged the value of our Gulf Coast members' participation.
