Advocacy
One of the foremost advocates for the performing arts in America, Arts Presenters represents our members' interests before the United States Congress, the White House and Federal agencies by informing legislators and policymakers about the vital role of the performing arts in American life. Whether lobbying for increased funding for the arts, improved visa policies for foreign artists or tax incentives for charitable giving, Arts Presenters works to make members' voices heard in Washington. We keep members informed through action alerts, regular E-news updates, quarterly member newsletters and our website.
National Voice
Arts Presenters acts as a national voice for the performing arts community by providing background and resource materials and national spokespeople in the arts community. In addition, we conduct research and surveying of the field, staying up-to-date on the needs and challenges of the performing arts. Our findings, through surveys, partnerships and collaborative studies, are designed to help organizations improve their management capacity, increase their responsiveness to local communities and strengthen local and national advocacy efforts.
