Do I need to join Arts Presenters to attend
the Annual Members Conference in New York in January?
Yes! The Annual Members Conference, held each January in New York City,
is a members-only event. You must be associated with a member organization
as staff, board member, or roster artist to be eligible to attend.
How much does it cost to join Arts Presenters?
Membership costs range from $300 to $2,475 depending on the size, budget
and artist fees paid by your organization. Check the Membership Application

What are the Membership Categories? How do I
know which one is right for me?
Arts Presenters has seven different categories of membership: presenting,
support, artists/manager/agent, vendor, consultant, associate and student.
If your organization does not fit neatly into any of the categories described
below, please call our Membership Department for assistance, 888.820.ARTS.
Presenting Organization
A Presenting Organization is an organization, or department or program
of a larger organization, which works to facilitate exchanges between
artists and audiences through creative, educational and performance opportunities.
Presenting organizations present artists and pay artist fees. Dues range
from $300 to $2,475 per year. Check the Membership Application

A producing organization most often joins Arts Presenters as a Presenting
Organization if they are primarily interested in finding touring
artists to perform in their communities.
Support Organization
A Support Organization is a non-profit organization that supports the performing
arts but does not present, pay artist fees, or earn revenue
from touring, e.g. arts service organization, foundation, arts administration
program, state arts agency, consular office, embassy, etc. Support Organizations
dues are a flat fee of $475 per year.
Artist, Manager, Agent
This category is for artists who represent themselves or agents/managers
who represent artist(s) to Presenters through advertising, exhibiting at
the Annual Members Conference, showcase performances and in negotiations.
Dues are based on total commissions from touring, producing or commissioning.
Artist/ Manager/Agent dues range from $300 to $2,475 per year. Check the

Typically, a producing organization joins Arts Presenters as an Artist,
Manager, Agent member if they are primarily interested in sending their
production(s) on the road.
Vendor The primary purpose of your organization
is to provide goods to artists and arts organizations (e.g. ticketing systems,
software, etc.). Vendors do not present or represent artists, attractions,
films and/or lectures. Vendor Organization dues are a flat fee of $450.00
per year.
Consultant
The primary purpose and activity of your organization is to provide consulting
services to artists and arts organizations. Consultant members do not present
or represent artists, attractions, films and/or lectures). Consultant dues
are a flat fee of $450 per year.
Individual Associate Membership
Individual Associate members have access to most of the benefits
of membership (associate members are ineligible to vote in Arts Presenters
elections and exhibit at the conference). Individual Associate dues are
$95 per year. Following are the only types of individuals who qualify for
the Individual Associate membership:
- Staff of a current Member Organization
- Board Member of a current Member Organization
- Artist(s) on the Artist Roster of a Member Manager, Agent or Agency
Student Membership
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students are eligible for an Arts Presenters
Membership. Student dues are $60 per year. Students are ineligible to vote
in Arts Presenters elections and exhibit at the conference, and must send
a copy of a dated student ID or other proof of enrollment.

I am a Producer/Curator/Artist Manager based
outside the United States. Would it make sense for me to join Arts Presenters?
Organizations outside of the US are eligible to join as full members of
Arts Presenters (see category options above) and receive all the benefits
of membership.
However, another option is the International Associate Membership. Designed
to enable professionals from outside the United States to attend the Annual
Members Conference and to have access to the Members area of the website
for a temporary period, this membership gives access to the Members Conference
