Arts Presenters is a national service and advocacy organization with
more than 2,000 members worldwide dedicated to bringing artists and
audiences together. Arts Presenters is committed to increasing community
participation, promoting global cultural exchange and fostering an
environment for the performing arts to thrive. A leader in the field,
Arts Presenters works to effect change through professional development,
resource sharing and civic engagement.
We serve as a national voice for the performing arts community by providing information ranging from background and resource materials to national spokespeople in the arts community.
Staff are often called on to comment publicly on arts related legislative movement in Washington D.C. including funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Department of Education, tax incentives for charitable giving to non-profit arts organizations and visa processing for foreign artists through the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS), Department of Homeland Security and State Department. Arts Presenters, with a membership that ranges from national performing arts centers to small community theaters, can also provide a big picture outlook, comparing federal and state budget cuts and program impact on the industry.
