In addition to this application form, applicants must also prepare a SINGLE document (Microsoft Word preferred) containing the following supportive materials. Please follow the order below as your format when composing your narrative:

  1. A narrative of no more than 800 words that describes:

    a) why you want to see the work of these ensemble theatre artists that specifically addresses why this company is particularly relevant to your current and future long-term program planning,

    b) what professional development opportunities you hope to gain from this trip, and

    c) how it will assist you in future presentations and productions of theatre artists and foster cross-sector collaboration between the theatre and presenting fields.

  2. Also in the document (no word limit), please supply the following additional supporting information;

    a) If you are a theatre, please provide a three-year history of working with touring artists;

    b) If you are a presenter, please provide a three-year history of presenting ensemble theatre artists;

    c) If you are an artist manager please provide a three-year history of booking and managing ensemble artists;

    d) If you are an independent producer, presenter or artist manager, please provide a listing of freelance activities with corresponding budgets, a resume detailing professional experience;

Applicants must also fax or scan and e-mail a copy of the IRS not-for-profit certification that you are affiliated with; or for those without 501(c)3 status, a statement about how this trip is applicable to educational purposes that will assist the individual traveling in making more informed decisions in communicating about and/or managing an existing project or collaboration with an ensemble theatre, a theatre, or an arts presenter or consortia of theatres and arts presenters.
